We have worked with thousands of pets to help them be healthy and happy

How we help

Flexible

We understand that life happens. We know everyone has different needs. Because we are a smaller organisation, we can be more accommodating to your schedule. If you want us to attend once a week or once every three months or once a year - We can be there for you

Knowledgable

We are constantly learning new ways to assist with your pet's behaviour. We participate in many additional training courses and stay up to date with industry information and scientific studies to ensure we are giving you the best service.

Budget Friendly

We try to operate within your scale of affordability. Suppose we can help in only one session to solve your issues, that makes us happy. If you need additional help, then we are here. We will provide that guidance most cost-effectively. We don’t want you to resent your pet and see it as a financial burden

Personalised Care

IWe make our training plans to suit your individual needs. All solutions provided are tailored for what you can do. There is no point in providing a plan for your pet if we make it unrealistic to achieve in your world.

Collaborative

.We can work with other entities that may interact with your pet. We are happy to attend the Vet or provide copies of our assessments to them to work together on treatment plans. We will go to your Groomer to help with a training session while they perform their job.

Quality Service

We always try our best to ensure we provide a high level of service. We turn up on time. We come prepared. We are always available to offer assistance when you need us. We ensure that the learning resources we provide are high-quality - things you can use for life.

What is Positive First ?

When we learn a new skill, we know we will not be perfect the first time.

To teach you, I need to make it fun and entertaining. I need to encourage you to show you how to be successful. I need to guide you in the right environment to make you feel comfortable.

I will explain what you need to do, then demonstrate how to do an action, and ask you to take turns a few times to ensure we understand each other.

I may need to provide different examples to get the information across before you can learn how to do something, depending on how your brain likes to take in information.

You will also need to practice to grow your skill.

Over time if I feel that I’ve done all these things and I see areas where you could be better or if you go back to performing poorly when you have previously done well, then I would correct your actions and encourage you to achieve the skill the right way.

Pets are the same. Glenn Cooke, a fantastic leader in the Animal Training world, has coined the term - Positive First

When we teach an animal a new skill, we must always start positively.

We must remember to pay them for their good actions and make sure that we are in the right environment and doing our best to set them up for wins. No one likes to be unappreciated for their efforts, and that does not mean you have to give your pet a treat every time it performs a SIT for the rest of its life it can be the act of just saying “Good job.”

.As their knowledge level grows, we can start to layer in corrections to help clarify the lessons.

Correction doesn’t mean abuse - it can be using our tone of voice, withholding affection, or ending a game.

It’s about creating clarity in understanding for our pets to see the pathway to success.
